Dodecafluoropentane Emulsion Decreases Infarct Volume in a Rabbit Ischemic Stroke Model

This study sought to find the time-window for treatment in rabbits with stroke. DDFPe is effective when given at least 3 hours after stroke, but 6 hours is too late, likely because infarcts are fully grown by this time. Mean reduction in infarct volumes range from 71% to 87%.
